The Cat's Diary
Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the
rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to
keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt
to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated
a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this
would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my
capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about
what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was
placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However,
I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my
confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this
means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my
tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try
this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.
The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and
seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The
bird must be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards
regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have
arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.

The hubby: Cause he's my life and my love. He is recurrently sick right now so my concern is for his health at those times.

The mom: Cause she and I were astranged for many years and have gotten back together again. I want us to stay that way.

The work: Cause where I currently work, I do not recieve any insurance. It's very hard to take care of my hubby's and my health when this situation keeps us from seeing doctors and getting prescriptions. I like the company I work for, but I need the extra benefits.

Whew, it's been too long since I posted. Things have been exciting around here.
First, I was planning my trip to Atlanta, GA to spend time with my mom. My dad's will has been processed and I'm getting his car. So I'm excited to be having a car again!!
Secondly, I'm in the process of negotiating myself another job. It's doing the same thing I'm doing now, billing for mental health, but only part time. Hopefully, it won't drive me into the depths of exhaustion. I could use the extra money so badly.

By doing something for them to help them out, a small gift, a hug, praise.
I always try to remember to thank people for even little things they do for me especially at work.

I like Amazon, but I haven't used it much. I mostly use it to find certain books or toys and compare prices. I think it's a good service in that you can set up wishlists to send to your family or friends so they don't have to struggle to find you a present. The reviews are kewl for helping you decide if you really want to buy the product.

Cats, kitties, pussycats, gatos!!!!

2. If you could come back as any animal, what would it be? Why?
Cat or maybe a Lion. I love the way the cat's body is so flexible and built for speed. Being a lioness would be interesting cause I'd be a hunter, too.

3. As pets, Betta fish live in vases or bowls by themselves. Do you suppose they have stressful lives ever? How so/how not?
I can't think that they do except maybe when their bowl is cleaned when they must wait in another bowl. Maybe they wonder each time this happens what their fate in life will be.

Yes, I'm glad to be human because we have a bit more control over our lives. Also, I'm glad not to be living on the edge of survival everyday. I've gone thru a period of being very poor which caused me to live to survive and it's very hard and taxing on the mind and body. I couldn't live that way everyday.

Animals
1. What's your favorite animal (This doesn't have to be a mammal, mind you!)? Why?
Cats, kitties, pussycats, gatos!!!!

2. If you could come back as any animal, what would it be? Why?
Cat or maybe a Lion. I love the way the cat's body is so flexible and built for speed. Being a lioness would be interesting cause I'd be a hunter, too.

3. As pets, Betta fish live in vases or bowls by themselves. Do you suppose they have stressful lives ever? How so/how not?
I can't think that they do except maybe when their bowl is cleaned when they must wait in another bowl. Maybe they wonder each time this happens what their fate in life will be.

Bonus Question for Comments: Are you glad your're a human being instead of, say, an amphibian? Why/why not?
Yes, I'm glad to be human because we have a bit more control over our lives. Also, I'm glad not to be living on the edge of survival everyday. I've gone thru a period of being very poor which caused me to live to survive and it's very hard and taxing on the mind and body. I couldn't live that way everyday.

A. Most men are too obvious when speaking to women/girls about how they feel about that person. Meaning when they meet a woman, especially for the first time, you can tell by body language and such how attractive or unattractive they percieve that woman to be.
B. Men are socialized to believe they are always the one in charge.
